Snowball's life saving day at the clinic!

This young feral cat named Snowball was on deaths doorstep when she was brought in. Snowball came in for a spay fresh after giving birth to a stillborn kitten and was lethargic, skinny, and smelled strongly of infection. While here, her health was declining by the second and everyone was unsure if she was going to make it. She was put on fluids and under observation to see if there were any changes when all of a sudden she started actively trying to birth another dead kitten. The stillborn seemed to be stuck and Doctor made the decision to bring her into surgery immediately. Snowball had a severe infection that was like nothing anyone had ever seen or smelled. Doctor worked hard to quickly remove all of the infected uterus and immediately administered antibiotics.

After waking up, Snowball immediately had the life back in her eyes and finally appeared to be comfortable. Prior to surgery she barely was lifting her head or acknowledging anything but after she was much more lively and even let out a few little feral hisses at us! The property owner where Snowball lives was able to keep her contained for 2 weeks and bravely gave her medications for the duration of her recovery. She's now back to roaming the property as the confident feral queen that she is!
