A stray kitty was brought in today by one of our fabulous volunteers for a neuter and to assess his injured eye. This kitty turned out to be neutered already, but we did sedate him to explore the injury to his eye. Turns out he had a foxtail lodged deep in his eye socket!
The foxtail was removed, and our volunteer will keep him at her house for medication and monitoring. He will come back for a re-check in a couple of weeks to check on his healing process and assess next steps!
When you make donations to our feline emergency fund, these are the animals you are helping. This community cat might not have had the opportunity to have his eye injury helped without our clinic or our emergency medical fund.
All donations made to our feline emergency fund go directly to paying for treatments for community cats that otherwise would be left to suffer from those injuries.
