In-House Laboratory

We are thrilled to announce that a generous donor has given HSNC the privilege of having our own in-house diagnostics lab! For years, we have been sending out our lab work and waiting sometimes days for results. This delay often created a barrier for same-day procedures, leaving pets and their parents to come in for multiple appointments for one procedure. Because safety and high-quality patient care are of our utmost concern, we have also limited some of our services because we don’t have access to same-day results.

This in-house diagnostics lab, coming September 2025, not only expands our services but will also make things easier for both patients and their parents to access life-saving care. We are so excited to extend a helping hand to even more pets in Humboldt County and continue to add to our list of accessible services. Thank you so much again to our amazing anonymous donor!
