In-House Laboratory
We are thrilled to announce that a generous donor has given HSNC the privilege of having our own in-house diagnostics lab! For years, we have been sending out our lab work and waiting sometimes days for results. This delay often created a barrier for same-day procedures, leaving pets and their parents to come in for multiple appointments for one procedure. Because safety and high-quality patient care are of our utmost concern, we have also limited some of our services because we don’t have access to same-day results.
This in-house diagnostics lab, coming September 2025, not only expands our services but will also make things easier for both patients and their parents to access life-saving care. We are so excited to extend a helping hand to even more pets in Humboldt County and continue to add to our list of accessible services. Thank you so much again to our amazing anonymous donor!
An in-house laboratory relies on organized workflows, accurate sample handling, and consistent procedures to produce reliable experimental results. Properly arranging samples in microplates is especially important for assays, diagnostic testing, and research involving multiple samples at once. Researchers can simplify plate preparation and reduce labeling errors by using a clear layout before beginning an experiment. A 96 well plate template is a useful resource for planning sample positions, assigning controls, and keeping track of test conditions throughout laboratory procedures. Having a standardized plate layout helps laboratory teams improve organization, maintain consistency, and manage experiments more efficiently.
